A third person has died in Ontario due to a Listeria outbreak linked to certain plant-based milks produced by brands Great Value and Silk. This incident has raised the total number of confirmed listeriosis cases to 20 across four Canadian provinces. The contamination was traced back to a specific production line at a third-party facility in Pickering, Ontario. Public health officials have advised consumers to dispose of or return any affected products from these brands, which include varieties such as oat milk, almond milk, and coconut milk among others.
